Iguanas, seals and sharks!

Day, um 3&4 and 5? We are beginning to loose track of the days, never mind.

So day 3 we saw penguins on the beach, some went to see the pirates cave (just a cave sadly, no pirates Ian) plus we spotted marine iguanas

Day 4 yesterday was all about changing the plans, as we were scheduled to hike to a crater but it was foggy and instead we went to tortoise breeding centre, and spotted flamingoes at another lagoon. Plus we
Went snorkelling, and Becky (who can't swim) went too (with a little assistance from kay and her friends .. We are all so proud of her.

Day 5 , today is the day we depart for santa cruz island (our last island hop in the big speedboat ) but not before we did some more snorkelling this time down a narrow gap between the rocks where white tipped reef sharks come to rest - they were literally a few meters below us ... Wow - and Mart's waterproof camera decided to run out of battery, so no pic 8-( boo

More later perhaps if we can find some speeeedy connection somewhere.

Hi to Sabine, we loved your comment - we are also missing you, and we'd like to ask the person who wanted a 'normal' picture of pip what they actually meant???? Wasn't the last group photo normal?

Meanwhile here is a little baby sea lion pup that followed us on our walk today....

    Hi Tilly
We can only trust you are there as you were on the coach but no sign of you since! We know Rosie was there as she was on the speed boat with that WOW!!!! of a life jacket but the group photo missed you two so can only imagine you were 'doing your hair' or something similar?!! Just left Oscar with Nana so Eliza now experiencing the 'only child' feeling - knowing her she will use it to her full advantage!!! Enjoy the little time you have left - hoping you are really here?!!!!!!!

    Bye for now

  4. Hi J,
    Cute seal.
Went to Florence yesterday - full of statues of blokes with no kit on, not my thing...
Had a coffee in a cafe by a bridge, one person paid £12 for coffee and a cake, someone else £12 for a beer! luckily my thimbleful of espresso was 'only' £3.
Looking forward to getting home now.

  7. Hi Rhiannan

Thought I ought to post something before it's too late! I can't believe how quickly the last 4 week have gone.

Looks like you guys did a great job on the Yanapuma project to get the foundations in so quickly, particularly with the weather. I wonder if any parents are now planning extensions and looking for volunteers:-)) You've all earned the two weeks off sight seeing.

We're all envious of the places you've visited and experiences you've had and look forward seeing all the photos and to hearing the tales that must be told!

Looking forward to your return on Sunday as we've all missed you (although I'm sure I could get used to it in time for you to go off to Uni next year:-)).

Love Dad (and of course Mum, Olivia and Bryony XXXX)

  12. Hi J,
Another very wet day yesteday, As we waddled (like ducks) through a village we spotted a bus stop with a bus back to our hotel in 10 mins, so Mum and I - and most of the party wimped out and caught the bus. (It was a hard call, 10miles walking in the rain or a 20 minute bus ride) Of course it stopped raining, so in the afternoon Mum, I and another chap set out to meet the hard men, and see an enormous foot suspension bridge. It took us an hour and a half to get there, and amazingly we met the walking party in the middle of the bridge. Saw some wild boar on the path on the walk back to the hotel.
    I hope its dry today.

  18. Hello roggy!!!

Not long now until you come back to england, bet you aren't looking foward to it!

Nothing exciting to tell here, i got a £6 debenhams voucher after taking something back, i might put it towards some henry holland! I'm one of the poor deluded people mum was talking about!

Loving the baby seal picture, mum's right - you are very tanned! I'm jealous, me and mark are planning a week away in greece and i dont think i'll be anywhere as brown as you with your italian skin - i won't tell you what mum said, it was very offensive though.

Hope you're having a fantastic last couple of days, mark said he's looking forward to seeing what presents you've bought him!!

    Love Rachel and Mark.xxxx
